My name is Duane Hogge. I live in Fluvanna County Va. I am a faithful member and teach Sunday school ay Antioch Baptist Church. I have been retired now for 3 yrs. 4 mo. From the State of Virginia as a Boiler engineer. I served in the U.S. Coast Guard on the steamer cutter Rodger B. Taney. This is where I started my training for humanity. In 1979 through 1983 I got a crash course in disaster relief . It was the years that Fidel Castro emptied his prisons and threw out all the riffraff of Cuba. It was the job of the Untied States Coast Guard to rescue them and bring them to the U.S. which for a 19 year boy was not a pretty sight, and left a lot of us very confused. While in the Coast Guard our training became quite extensive and I grew to love that I had the ability to help other on a grander scale. Since those early days I have helped people of all kinds and disasters of all kinds. I know that my gift from God is to be a servant.
